CALL FOR ARTISTS
Day 2 Day Print Exchange
October 29 – December 3
Foyer Gallery, The Arts Center of the Capital Region | Troy, NY
Day 2 Day Print Exchange is a project that invites local, national, and international printmaking artists to develop a set of prints around one theme. All artists participating work within a 6″ x 9″ parameter, create 11 editions to donate to the project, as well as postage in order to receive a set of prints as part of the exchange. At the end of the project, each artist will receive 10 random prints created by participating artists. This is the first round of an ongoing project, and the theme for this exhibit will be “Childhood.”
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES All prints must conform to the following guidelines. Any prints that do not fit the guidelines will be returned to the artist at the artist’s expense.
Deadline: October 20, 2010
Paper Size: 6″ x 9″
Theme: Childhood (This is to help individuals out, you do not have to stick to the theme)
Medium: Intaglio, Relief, Lithography, Serigraphy, Collograph, Monotypes, Monoprints or any combination of these methods is acceptable. Digital prints or photographs with the addition of any hand printed methods will also be accepted.
Editioning requirements: 11 prints, Signed and numbered (1/11, 2/11, 3/11, etc.)
Name tags: Include your name, the title, and the medium used. (This can be included on a separate piece of paper for each print, or on the back of each print)
Postage: You need a preaddressed return envelope with adequate postage
